Submitted By AHR Scout June 1, 2010 - NHL Entry Draft Preview
What more is there to say about the most complete player for the draft? He has all the tools to step into the NHL next season and contribute to his team. After watching him take a beating at the Memorial Cup and still play outstanding, there should be no question he is the best player in available to Edmonton who has the first pick. He can score at will and dangle the puck with ease. He plays well at both ends of the ice and is a leader to his team. He has solid size and can make the hit if needed. In the end he led his team to back to back Memorial Cups. Hall is the best player and we are confident he will be the first selection in the draft.

The first word that comes to mind to describe him is ‘WARRIOR’. He took a bone crushing hit just seconds into the game which sent him face first into the boards. He got up nose bleeding and looking dazed. After sitting on the bench for a minute he was ready to get back in the game and score a SICK goal where he passed the puck to himself through his legs. Need we say more, he is by far the best player available for this summer’s NHL Entry Draft. He is always on the puck and makes plays in any situation. He is the complete player who is ready to play in the big show next season. AHR Rating: AAA

After watching him on this stage, there should be no doubt he will be the #1 pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. His skills are off the charts, he has a well rounded game that allows him to get into position to score at will and get back to play defense. His hands are excellent and he has a burst of speed that NHL scouts love. We haven’t really seen any part of his game we do not like. He is a scoring machine that has proven himself for the past three years in the OHL. The next step is the NHL where he will be playing next season after he hears his name called in Los Angeles, this summer. AHR Rating: AAA

Absolutely OUTSTANDING!! His skills are off the charts as he can do anything he wants with the puck and create at any time. He is a dominating player who will have an immediate impact in the NHL next season. Even though Tyler Seguin '92 is hot on his heels, he knows he is the better player. it reminds us a lot of last years race at the end between Tavares & Duchene. Hall is the real deal and will and for now he is staying our #1 rated player. AHR Rating: AAA

Another great start to a season for this top player. He was solid throughout the entire game. He gets into the zone quickly and is a very good skate with speed. He creates many chances and has great hands that can place the puck anywhere needed. An excellent all around player who wins face offs and is a two-way player. He cycles the puck well, is good along the boards and has breakaway speed. At this time he is our pick to be the #1 selection in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. AHR Rating: AAA

Coming into the new season he is the front runner for the #1 pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft as he can do anything he wants on the ice. His skills are superior to all other players at this point. He has proven himself numerous times as the best player around.

Best player on the ice by far. There isn’t anything he can’t do with the puck. He is a complete player with very good hands, lots of speed, a powerful stride and is defensive. He gets to speed very quickly and can handle the puck in full flight and make plays. He is a solid two-way player and isn’t afraid to get dirty in the corners or in front of the net. The #1 pick going into the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. AHR Rating: AAA

A super skilled winger who is a top player in his 2010 NHL Draft group. Is one of the best skaters in the OHL with lots of speed and can change direction very quickly. Creates lots of chances for his team as seen by his great point production, so far this season he has 56 points in 33 games, leading the OHL. Never gives up and can make plays at full stride and speed. Could be a top five NHL pick in 2010. AHR Rating: AAA |
